- Maertz, Geraldine I. 818 Ridge Lane AppletonAge 74, died unexpectedly, Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2002. She was bo rn November 10, 1927, to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Ebben) Kilsdon k, in Little Chute and had been an area resident all of her life. Geraldi ne enjoyed reading and knitting and spending time with her grandchildren a nd great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, t he Ladies of St. Bernard and the Don Bosco Guild (a young Catholic singl es group).Survivors include five children: Susan (Karl) Schrampfer, Appleton; Steph en (Kim) Maertz, Greenville; Daniel (Mary) Maertz, Neenah; Maria (Mike) De Bont, Neenah; Timothy (Mary) Maertz, Neenah; 15 grandchildren: Laura Schra mpfer, Sara Schrampfer, Rochelle Maertz, Nicholas Maertz, Bob Ellingson, B ecky (Ben) Dorow, Christopher Maertz, Corey Maertz, Joseph DeBont, Zacha ry DeBont, Melanie Nelson, Amy Nelson, Todd Nelson, Travis Schenzel and Mi tchell Schenzel; five great-grandchildren: Madison and Melanie Dorow, Brit tany and Brianna Fisher and Damien Kaup. Geraldine is further surviv ed by her brothers and sisters: Henriette (Ken) Lenz, Neenah; Norbert (Mar y) Kilsdonk, Little Chute; Rose Knight, Appleton; Les (Beth) Kilsdonk, Kau kauna; brothers and sister-in-law: Theo Wyngaard, Marilyn Evers, Alice (Mo e) Mollen, Karl (Judy) Maertz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and f riends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A. Maertz, on Aug ust 15, 1995; her sister, Verena Ritchie; her father and mother-in-law, R ay and Rose Maertz; her brothers-in-law, Ed Knight, Oswald Ritchie, Spin W yngaard and Robert Evers.The funeral liturgy for Geraldine will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, Oct ober 23, 2002, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 West Pine Street, wi th Father John P. Bergstadt officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Ceme tery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 pm, Tuesday and on Wed nesday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the mass. A parish pr ayer and scripture service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday.
