- Dorothy R. Krell, nee Rodenkirch, 89, of West Bend, di ed on Saturday, March 30, 2002, at the Samaritan Health Center.She was born on Aug. 2, 1912, in Barton, to the late Henry and Clara (n ee Koenings) Rodenkirch, and married Cyreldus P. Krell on May 26, 193 7, at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church. Her husband passed aw ay on Sept. 10, 1974.Dorothy was a life-long resident of the Washington County area, and was em ployed at Amity Leather Products for 22 years, retiring in 1974. Her in terests included gardening, playing cards, traveling, baking and cooking.She was a member of the Christian Women's Confraternity at St. Mary's Imma culate Conception Church and the Washington County Senior Citizens Cente r. Survivors include a son, Raymond of West Bend; a granddaughter, Chris tina Krell of Romeoville, Ill.; a sister, Cecilia "Tootie" Hefter of We st Bend; a brother and sister-in-law, Constantine and Adela Krell of Newbu rg; other relatives and friends.Preceding her in death was a brother, Elmer Rodenkirch, and a brother-in-l aw, Roman Hefter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Apr il 2, at 7:30 p.m. at St.Mary's Immaculate Conception Church. Fr. Patri ck Wendt will be the presider, and burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a. m. at St. Mary's Cemetery (old). Visitation at the church only will be Tu esday from 3 to 7:15 p.m.Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish. The Sch midt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.
