- Mary H. Gerrits, Kaukauna, Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother, age 57, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at Cherry Meadows following a courageous three year battle with cancer. Mary was born August 18, 1950, to the late Michael and Beatrice (Wallace) Buchinger in Kaukauna, WI. She married Arthur J. Gerrits on September 5, 1970, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Mary was a member of St. Al's Parish. She enjoyed traveling and reading as well as cooking and baking wonderful treats for her family. She adored her granchildren and cherished the role of being a grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Art Gerrits; her daughter, Laura (J.R.) Fabry and their son Lawson and a new addition due in April; her son, Jeremy (Diana) Gerrits and their two children: Quindyln and Graham; two brothers, Don (Judy) Buchinger and Francis (Sue) Buchinger; a sister Ruth (Jack) Van Treeck; a brother in law, Bob (Diane) Gerrits and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Beatrice Buchinger and her father and mother in law, Lawrence and Loretta (Tennessen) Gerrits.
Mary's Mass of Christian Burial will be 5 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2007, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. ALOYSIUS SITE, 2401 Main Avenue, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on FRIDAY at CHURCH from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
