Sarah was born on March 3rd 1857 and was baptized at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown on March 15th 1857. But, because there was no resident priest at St. Francis at that time, the baptism was performed by the visiting priest residing at St. John's Church in nearby Little Chute and recorded in their church records. Note the end of the baptismal record pictured here after the godparent's names "/St. Francis", meaning this event took place at St. Francis. There was most likely a transposition of the names of her mother and godmother on her baptismal record, as it listed her parents as Richard Powers and Katherine Kowen, and her godparents as Patrick Powers and Margaretha Noon. Margaretha Noon was her birth mother. Patrick Powers would have been Sarah's Uncle.

Pland for the funeral are indefinate and depend upon the arrival of a son frpm California, but is quite probable the services will be held Wednesday morning at Holy Cross Church with the Msgr. P. J. Lochman in charge. Internment will be in the Holy Cross cemetery. (Which is wrong, she was buried at St. Francis Hollandtown with her husband) Survivors are one daughter, Mrs Edward Bay, Kaukauna; five sons, Henry, Louis Jr., Richard, Kaukauna; Albert, Milwaulkee, John, San Francisco.
