Mass of Christian Burial for Gerry, a 39 year resident of Barringt on, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at St. Anne Chur ch, corner of Franklin and Ela Streets, Barrington. He will lie in state T uesday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. Father Jack Dew es will officiate.Born on May 10, 1931 in Little Chute, Wisconsin. He passed away on Thursda y, February 21, 2002 at his home. Interment will be in St. Michael the Arc hangel Cemetery. He was a chemical engineer at American Can Company f or 38 years. He was a member of the Barrington American Legion Post 158 a nd St. Anne Church. He enjoyed traveling, football "a Packer fan," compute rs and fishing.Survivors include his wife, Rita M. Vanden Heuvel whom he married on Septe mber 1, 1952 in Little Chute, Wisconsin; three children: Karen (Tim) Kaspe r, Palos Park; Mark (Karin) Ebben, Streamwood; Lisa (Dan) Gerlach, Littlet on, Colorado; a daughter-in-law, Mary (Patrick) James, Gilberts; five gran dchildren: Ken and Karly Kasper, Nikki and Jessica Gerlach, and Becky Ebbe n; three brothers: Ken (Joan) Ebben, Bartlett; Ed (Von) Ebben, Kaukauna, W isconsin; Tom (Mary) Ebben, Portage, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephew s.He is preceded in death by his parents, John (Florence) Ebben; son, Jame s; and two brothers, Richard and Paul.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Northeastern I llinois, 410 S. Hager Avenue, Barrington, IL 60010 or to the American Canc er Society, 100 W.
