- See Image Green, Robert L. , KimberlyLoving husband, father and grandfather, age 84, died on Saturday, June 2 9, 2002 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Bob was born on April 1, 1918, son of t he late Nicholas and Blanche (Brady) Green. On December 1, 1945, he marri ed the former Leona Van Eperen; she preceded him in death in February of 1 995. For many years, he was employed at the Kimberly-Clark Atlas Mill, App leton, and retired in 1978 as a member of the Quarter-Century Club. He fai thfully served his country as a member of the United States Army during Wo rld War II, serving with Company D, 32nd Division, and the 127th Infantr y. Bob retired from the Army in 1978 with a Bronze Star and 3 Purple Heart s. He was a member of the William Verhagen American Legion Post #60 in Kim berly, the Company D-40 Club, the Appleton YMCA and Holy Name Parish. B ob will be greatly missed by his two daughters: Kathy (Steve) Puls, Neena h; Mary (Don) Gerrits, Little Chute; three sons: Raymond (Eileen) Green, M aryland; Mike Green, Kimberly; Jeff (Sarah) Green, Oshkosh; eight grand ch ildren: Zev (Ilissa) Green; Angie (Rob) Huettl; Bob Voigt; Amanda (Jami e) Anderson; Brianna and Nicholas Newhouse; Crystal Green, five great-gran dchildren: Grace and Brendan Voigt; Ari Green; Eric Huettl; Sierra Anderso n; and his brother, Don (Blanche) Green, Appleton. Bob is also surviv ed by Leona's sisters and brothers: Johanna Diedrich, Kaukauna; Fran Richt er, Burlington; Luella (Gene) Schultz, Kimberly; Bernie (Nita) Van Epere n, Dale; Theresa Van Eperen, Kimberly; Paul (Barbara) Van Eperen, Kimberl y; Dori Van Eperen, Appleton; his good friend Edward Hendricks and numero us nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Marv (Luc illle) Green; his sister Lucille (Bill) Platt; a sister-in-law, Mickey Sau cer; brothers-in-law: Joe Van Eperen; John Van Eperen; Walter Van Epere n, Jr.; Ray Van Eperen; Wally Diedrich; Bob Richter; Hank Van Eperen; a nd Leona's parents, Walter and Marie (Vanden Boogard) Van Eperen. He was a lso survived by five stepgrandchildren, Tina (Jason) Martzahl, Travis, Tro y, Donny and Alex Gerrits. The Funeral Mass will be held at 5:00 p.m. on T uesday, July 2, 2002 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenu e, Kimberly, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. The Entombment wi ll be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends will be receiv ed at the church on Tuesday, July 2 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of servi ce. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Parksi de Care Center for their loving care of Bob.
