- Marie Gerhartz (Golden), Kimberly, 76, died unexpectedly November 14, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born May 23, 1930, in Appleton, WI. Marie retired from Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and "grand dogs". Marie enjoyed cooking for her family and was an avid reader. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Appleton.
Marie is survived by her children, Richard (special friend Ann Martin), Wisconsin Rapids; Pat (Dave) Santkuyl, Keshena; Donald Jr., Kimberly; Jean (Mike) Pawlowski, New Mexico; Ann Gerhartz, Kimberly; Mary (Tim) Riner, Black Creek; Nancy ("Dyns") Van Dyn Hoven, Kaukauna; nine grandchildren, Angie (Chad) Johnson; Val Santkuyl; Richard Santkuyl; Chris Pawlowski; Neal (Michelle) Haufe; Tina Haufe and Shawn Haufe; Stacy Van Dyn Hoven (special friend Timm Arnoldussen); Ryan (Andrea) Van Dyn Hoven; two great-grandchildren, Conner Haufe and Logan Van Dyn Hoven; three sisters, Sr. Mary Golden, Manitowoc; Florence (Frank) Heckrodt, Appleton; and Margie (Tom) Kussow, Wrightstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gerhartz Sr.; and a brother.
It was Marie's wishes to have no formal church services. A Prayer Service will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with Deacon Mike Madden officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Hollandtown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 3 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank 911 Outagamie County, the Metro Police, and the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care and concern.
