  Notes	Martin was born at Pine Hollow November 15, 1897. At the age of sixt ee n he drowned at Ontario June 9, 1912 in the Kickapoo River. This riv er d isappears under large rocks for fourty or fifty feet and has many whi rl pools. Martin was swimming and was caught by one of the whirl pools, D r. Johnson tried to revive him, but he had been under too long. He was b ur ied at Pine Hollow on a lot my father had for his family, which he lat er gave to Anton Sperk family for taking care of this lot. My father h ad h is family stone set on this lot so he took a smaller stone and plac ed it there and used the large stone on his and Grandma's lot on a St. Jos eph 's cemetery at Rice Lake.
