- Zorn, Allen O., 650 Madison S t., BrillionAge 87, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay followi ng a short illness. He as born June 22, 1915 in Brillion, son of the la te Otto and Edna (Wegner) Zorn. On November 17, 1945 he married Joyce I. W iedeman at Rhinelander. Mr. Zorn served in the U.S. Army during World W ar II and was a prisoner of war for over seven months in Germany. After h is tour of duty, he returned to Brillion and worked at the Ariens Compa ny and the Brillion Iron Works as a design engineer and then as chief insp ector of the BIW Farm Equipment Division until his retirement in 198 0. He was a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church in Brillio n, the Becker Bloedorn Jensen American Legion Post #126 of Brillion, DA V, Ex-POW Northeast Chapter, Brillion Senior Citizens, and the Brillion Hi storical Society. Allen's final project was modeling the 10 kiln Brilli on Limekilns and outbuildings as they appeared in the late 1880's. The mod el is on display at the local Historical Society Museum. Survivors inclu de his wife, Joyce; two daughters: Ann Ruleau, Appleton; Nancy Zorn Mic ke and Dale Micke, Plover; two granddaughters: Tammy Ruleau Zilisch and fi ance Ric Borgwardt and Tina (Jim) Schultz; five great-grandchildren: Ambe r, William, Dalton, Zachary and Nathanial; a sister, Elizabeth (Erling) Pe terson, Indianapolis, IN; a brother and two sisters-in-law: Chet (Mary An n) Zorn, Brillion; Betty L. Zorn, Salina, KS and several nieces and nephew s. He was preceded in death by his parents, four grandchildren and a broth er, Vernon. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at Fai th United Methodist Church in Brillion. Pastor Everlyn Mingle will officia te. Burial will be in the Brillion City Cemetery. Friends may call at t he Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., then at t he church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
