- DeBruin, Urban F., KimberlyAge 80, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 3, 2003. He was born in L ittle Chute on May 12, 1923, son of the late William and Catherine (Voster s) DeBruin. On August 27, 1946, he married Rita Verstegen at St. John Cath olic Church, Little Chute. He retired from Combined Locks Paper Mill in 19 85 after working 44 years as a machinist. Urban loved to make things and e njoyed working with wood. He was able to fix just about anything and was a lways willing to help anyone. Urban was an avid fisherman and particular ly loved fishing for Northern in Wisconsin Lakes. He was a wonderful, cari ng husband and father and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.Urban is survived by his wife Rita, six children: Nancy (Kenneth) Geig er of Appleton, Kenneth (Pat) DeBruin of Combined Locks, Leo (Fran) DeBru in of Combined Locks, Janet (James) Burwitz of Appleton, Roy (Debra) DeBru in of Freedom, Glen (Amy) DeBruin of Combined Locks; 15 grandchildren: An n, Mike, Jeff, Greg (Mollie), Jennifer, Terrie (Jeff), Kristina, Ben, Kat e, Andy, Adam, Jessica, Dan, Melissa and Kevin; five great grandchildre n; sister, Ceil Nelessen of Little Chute; and a sister-in-law, Marie DeBru in.Urban is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Antone, Berna rd (Margaret) and Quintin (Johanna); two sisters, Betty (Urban) Nelessen a nd Jeanette (Ben) Hoersch; brother-in-law, Clarence Nelessen; and two gran dchildren: Curt DeBruin and Joshua Burwitz.The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at HO LY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Thom as Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received at Jansen Fargo Funeral H ome on Friday, June 6, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer servi ce at 7 p.m. and at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10: 30 a.m..
