  Fermanich, Donald L.Donald L. Fermanich, of Appleton, formerly of New London, age 82, passed a way on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Oakridge Gardens in Menasha. He was bo rn on September 13, 1921 in New London, son of the late Paul and Mary Ja ne (Bodoh) Fermanich. On July 10, 1980 Donald was united in marriage to Al ice Landwehr in Appleton. Donald farmed in New London and worked for 5 yea rs at New London Engineering until his retirement in 1982.He is survived by his wife Alice; five step children: Ken (Doris) Wolff, A ppleton; Joan (Dennis) Booms, Kaukauna; Judy (Ron) Peters, Bonduel; Dia ne (Tom) Mehlberg, Gresham, and Bob Wolff, Little Chute; sister in-laws: H ildegarde and Betty Fermanich, New London and Marge Weidner, Green Ba y. He is further survived by 14 step grandchildren, 22 step great-grandchi ldren and numerous nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Raymond, Urban, Edw ard, Leon and Victor Fermanich; six sisters: Viola Cretton, Florence Swa n, Frances and Irene Fermanich, Beatrice Lecquyea, Lorraine Cartwright.Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. at St. P ius Catholic Church in Appleton Fr. John Schuetze officiating. Friends m ay call directly at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the ti me of service. Burial will be in the Most Precious Blood Catholic Cemete ry in New London.The family would like to thank the staff at Oakridge Gardens for the lovi ng care they gave to Donald.A memorial fund has been established.Cline & Hanson Funeral Home209 W.
