  Conrad, Sylvester "Ves" L.Sylvester "Ves" Louis Conrad, 86, of 1704 Georgia, Sturgeon Bay, passed aw ay Saturday, September 28, 2002 at Door County Memorial Hospital. He was b orn April 16, 1916 in Freedom, Wisconsin, the son of the late William a nd Lena (Green) Conrad. On October 6, 1963 he married Janet Marie (Mino r) Cundy at their home in Sturgeon Bay. She preceded him in death on Septe mber 4, 1997. Ves retired from Prange's Department Store in 1985. Pri or to that, he was employed with Bunda's Department Store and Leathem Smi th Lodge in Sturgeon Bay. Ves loved perch fishing and boating, and w as an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He was a member of Sturgeon Bay Moravi an Church where he enjoyed helping the Men's Club with the church's fish b oils. He was a past member of the Sturgeon Bay Elk's Club.He is survived by his stepson, J. Philip (Mary) Cundy of Oshkosh; stepdaug hter, Rev. Dr. Jane F. Cundy and her two sons, Christopher and Jack Per ry all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters, Frances Wolfgram of Applet on and Margaret VanHimbergen of Kaukauna; several nieces and nephews and m any close friends. His parents, wife, four sisters and seven brothers prec eded him in death.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2002 at 11:00 a. m. at Huehns Funeral Home of Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Dr. Matt Knapp officia ting. Burial will be made in Bayside Cemetery. Friends may call at Hueh ns Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of servic es at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ves Conrad 's name for Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church.
