- Henry J. "Hank" Jansen, St. Nazianz, age 77, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 31, 2009, in Manitowoc at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 3, 1931, in Kimberly, the son of the late George and Anna Jansen. Henry served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force & National Guard. He was an avid Packers and Cubs fan and loved the outdoors. Hank was part owner/operator of High Cliff Supper Club in the late '70s. Prior to that, he and the love of his life, Marie "Connie" (Conrad) Jansen, owned and operated Hank & Connie's in Kimberly. She preceded him in death in 1988 after 23 years of marriage together. Together Hank & Connie left us with countless memories that we can forever cherish.
He is survived by two sisters-in-law: Frances Wolfgram, Appleton, and Margaret Van Himbergen, Kimberly, numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his sisters: Josephine Weber and Harriet Hartsworm; a brother, John Jansen; eight brothers-in-law: Joe, Wenzel, Richard, Len, Clarence, Peter, Leo and Ves Conrad; three sisters-in-law: Annaceil Milbach, Martha Schultz and Verna Conrad.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY SITE, 119 West Seventh Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received directly at church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
