- Ebben, Jacoba "Jakie"Jacoba Ebben, age 84, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully, Thursday, J anuary 13, 2005. She was born in Dreumel, Holland on June 7, 1920, daught er of Henry and Caroline (Van Rhyn) Verbruggen. Jakie was a graduate of S t. John's High School, Little Chute. On May 3, 1947, she was united in mar riage to Richard Ebben. He preceded her in death in 1963.Jakie was a life-long member of St. John Nepomucene Church in Little Chut e, where she was a past member of the Elizabeth Society. She was also a me mber of the Little Chute Golden Agers Club.Jakie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, a good card game a nd playing bingo. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smil e, which she shared so often. She brought joy and laughter wherever she we nt.Jakie is the beloved mother of Robert Ebben (special friend, Sandy Conradt ), Pickerel; Lu Ann (Leon) Vanden Heuvel, Little Chute; Ellen (Mike) Janse n, Kaukauna; Rick Ebben, Little Chute. She is the cherished grandma of Ry an (Nicole) Vanden Heuvel; Jay (Bobbie Jo) Vanden Heuvel; David (Jodi) Van den Heuvel; Kelly (Troy) DeWitt; Dan (Jill) Jansen; and Ben's widow, Heath er Jansen. Great-grandma of Rylee, Tressa, Gavin, Tanner, Madyson, Eli a nd Bennett. Jakie is further survived by her sister, Joanne Cobb (fianc e, Al Anderson), Palm Desert, CA; her brother, John (Betty) Verbruggen, Li ttle Chute; her sister-in-law, Mary Jane Verbruggen, Little Chute; sisters -in-law, Barb (John) Levandowski; Ione Van Sambeek; Ike (Bill) Hammen; bro thers-in-law, Marv (Mattie) Ebben and Fr. Bert Ebben O.P. She is also surv ived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard, her grands on, Ben Jansen, mother and father-in-law, Sophie and Chris Ebben, two brot hers, Cornelius and Casey, brothers-in-law, Leslie Cobb and Bill Van Sambe ek.Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 20 05 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Msgr. Ja mes Vanden Hogen officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:30 p. m. until the time of service.
