- Evers, Elaine H.Elaine H. Evers, 67, Little Chute, died Friday April 28, 2006, at Applet on Medical Center after a courageous nine month battle with cancer. She w as surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was born in Freedom on July 3 1, 1938, to the late John and Geraldine (Miller) Gerrits. On May 13, 196 1, she married Donald P. Evers at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, whe re she was a lifelong member. Elaine enjoyed bowling, Packer games and cas ino trips, but her greatest joy was her family. She took great pride in h er grandchildren and loved to attend their school programs and games.Elaine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Don; her children, Laurie ( Greg) Hammen, Little Chute; Lisa (Dave) Solberg, Little Chute; Terry (Kell y) Evers, Kimberly; Kim (Dale) Reynebeau, Little Chute; nine grandchildre n, Andy, Rick and Brian Hammen; Ashley, Taylor and Troy Solberg; Collin a nd Abby Evers; and Paige Reynebeau; brothers and sisters, Robert (Milli e) Gerrits; Germaine Werner; Donald (Lillian) Gerrits; Gene (Lois) Gerrit s; Clarice Islinger; Roger Gerrits; Vernadine (James) Welch; and Darlene ( Leroy) Romenesko; brothers and sisters-in-law: Vi Evers; Henry (Ade) Ever s; Delia Joosten; George (Celeste) Evers; Tony (Lorraine) Evers; Whitey (P eggy) Evers; Katie (Ray) Brockman; Gordie (Rosie) Evers; Earl Van Hande l; and Ronald Beattie.In addition to her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by her father a nd mother-in-law: John and Minnie Evers; infant grandson, Christopher; sis ter, Audrey Van Handel; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerome Werner; Fr ank Islinger; Ed Evers; Martin Joosten; Ray (Del) Evers; and Mary Ann Beat tie.Funeral Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at St. John Nepo mucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. The Rev. Patrick Beno will officiat e. Friends may call directly at church after 2 p.m. until the time of Ma ss on Tuesday. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowe rs, a memorial will be established.The Evers family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. William Guent her, his staff and the staff members of the third floor Oncology Unit at A ppleton Medical Center for their kind care.
