She was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Berghu is Van Handel. Theresa married Norbert Techlin on August 25, 1945. They op erated Techlin's Trucking for 27 years. They also owned and operated Techl in's Bar for 25 years. She was a member of St. Nicholas Church. She has be en with Christian Mothers since 1946. Theresa enjoyed traveling, playing c ards and dancing, but most of all she enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Besides her husband, survivors include her children: Mary (James) Gonnerin g, Kaukauna; Luanne (Dennis) Kerkhoff, Florida; Donna (Michael) Lieberge n, Freedom; Darlene (David) Goltz, Chesterfield, Missouri; grandchildre n: Tammy, James Jr. (Dawn), Jason (Kim) Gonnering, Kasey (Randy) De Cleen e, Katie (Jeff) Deegan, Jill (Nick) Cropsey, Crystal Liebergen, Deirdre a nd Derek Goltz; great-grandchildren: John, William and Cody Urban, Courtne y, Christopher and Caylee De Cleene, Eric and Brent Gonnering and Meghan G onnering. She is also survived by her brother, Richard (Alice) Van Hand el and two sisters-in-law: Jule and Joan Van Handel and brother-in-law, De lmar Schmiechel.She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Schmiechel; sister-in-la w, Marion Van Handel; three brothers-in-law: Robert, Harold and Donald V an Handel. Also preceded in death on her husband's side were: brothers-in- law and sisters-in-law: Adaline (Reinhold) Ihde and Hilda (Henry) Schink e, Lester (Margaret) Techlin, Wilbert (Bernice) Techlin, Edwin (Leona) Tec hlin and Harold Techlin and Gerhart Techlin.The Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 20 03 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, N4088 Cty Trk E., Freedom with Fath er Dennis Ryan officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the t ime of mass at the church. A visitation will also be held from 4-8 p.m. Tu esday December 9, 2003 (TONIGHT) at the funeral home, with a prayer servi ce at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Freedom. In li eu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.When I come home to heaven, how joyful it will be! For on that day at las t, my risen Lord I'll see. No greater happiness than to see Him face to fa ce, to see the love in His eyes, and feel His warm embrace. I've done noth ing to deserve that perfect home above. It was given freely through the gr ace of Jesus' Love. They why should earthly cares weigh down upon me so? T hey'll be a distant memory when home at last I go.
