- Kenneth C. Haen, age 82, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born April 29, 1928 in Green Bay to the late Henry and Gertrude (Bruecker) Haen. Ken married the former Joan Baeten on May 1, 1951 in West DePere. Ken and his 2 brothers started Star Orchard in Hollandtown. He and Joan enjoyed spending many weekends on Pelican Lake fishing and socializing with their special friends.
He is survived by his wife Joan, Kaukauna; his children: Steven (Donna) Haen, Kaukauna, Susan (Paul) Behnke, Oshkosh, James (Cyndy) Haen, Wausau, Jeffrey (Carla) Haen, Oshkosh, and Peter (Deanna) Haen, Oakfield; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, with two on the way; one brother and twp sisters-in-law: Ivo (Carol) Haen, Kaukauna and Bernice Haen, Hollandtown; one sister, Sr. Ann Joachim, Manitowoc. He is further survived by his wife's family: Doris (Dick) Thomas, Wisconsin Rapids, Barb (Dave) Reinbold, Manitowoc, Ralph (Virginia) Baeten, Green Bay, Ginny (Gene) Brown, Boston, MA, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Haen, three brothers and a sister-in-law: Ray, Jerome (Mertie), and Eugene Haen, and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sr. St. Barbara and Marcella (Earl) Fink. He is further preceded in death by his wife's family: Christian and Viola (Hockers) Baeten, Ralph Baeten, and Fr. David Baeten.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. FRANCIS SITE, County Rd CE, Hollandtown with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. concluding the evening. Friends may call again directly at church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
