  Schumacher, Elizabeth T., Auro ra, ColoradoFormerly of Little Chute, age 82, died Monday, December 29, 2003 at the Li fe Care Center in Aurora, Colorado. She was born March 30, 1921 in Litt le Chute. Elizabeth was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursi ng in Oshkosh and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nur se Corps during World War II. She was Supervisor of Surgical Services at R ose Hospital in Denver and served as Director of Nursing at hospitals in B ethesda, Maryland, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Lewiston, Idaho and Aurora, Color ado prior to her retirement.Elizabeth is survived by two sisters: Margie Meulemans, Wrightstown; Mr s. Joseph (Marian) Wilz, Menasha; a step sister, Martha Diedrick, Appleto n; three step brothers: Richard, William and Anthony (Verna) Gloudemans, a ll of Little Chute; a sister-in-law, Margaret Schumacher; a step brother-i n-law, Ted Van Handel; a step sister-in-law, Valeria Gloudemans; numero us nieces and nephews, special friends: Twila McDowel and Michelle Scheffi e, both of Denver. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Schumac her, her mother and step father, Elizabeth and Henry Gloudemans; three bro thers: Willis (Ann) Schumacher, Edmund (Millie) and Robert Schumacher; thr ee step brothers: Joseph Gloudemans, John (Margaret) and Peter Gloudeman s, a step sister, Elizabeth Van Handel, a brother-in-law, Bernard Meuleman s, a step sister-in-law, Florence Gloudemans and a step brother-in-law, El mer Diedrick.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2004 at the Verkuil en Funeral Home with Father Carl Meulemans officiating. Interment wi ll be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the funer al home from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of the service. In lieu of fl owers, a memorial has been established for the Life Care Center of Auro ra and the Odyssey Hospice.The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staffs at Life Ca re Center of Aurora and Odyssey Hospice for their care and support to Eliz abeth and her family.
