- Ruth Otte, Appleton, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at Franciscan Care Center. She was born on Nov. 18, 1927, in Combined Locks, the daughter of the late Louis and Frances (Feldmeyer) Hartzheim. Ruth was a licensed LPN in homecare with the terminal cases prior to her retirement. She enjoyed golfing, walking, swimming, reading and playing cards. Ruth loved the Packers.
She is survived by her children, David, Sr. (Mary) Otte, Kaukauna; Paula (Scott) Tyrrell, Neenah; and Keith (Debbie) Otte, Appleton; grandchildren, David Jr., Sherry, Scott, Shannon and Westley; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Kyle, Christopher, Alyssa, Caleb, Blake, Trey and Nathan; sister, Lois (Connie) DeLeeuw, Melbourne, Fla.; and her brother, James (Virginia) Hartzheim, Newark, Va. Ruth is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Hartzheim and Frances Hartzheim Coenen; brothers, Carl (Alice) Hartzheim and Emery Hartzheim; and sisters, Alice (Leonard) Meliski and Jane (Bernard) Engel.
The memorial service for Ruth will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
