- Age 72, of Marinette, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Century Oaks, Darboy, WI. She was born May 17, 1934 in the city of Marinette to the late Arthur C Kalm and Alvina M. (Jones) Kalm, residing in the Appleton area most of her life. Anna took pride in working her adult life, including employment with Fox River Paper Co. for 28 years where she worked as a machine operator, and quality inspector. Along with her daily responsibilities at her job, she extended her duties to include, Reporter of the Month, Anna also received a Safety Certificate for 5 consecutive years without a lost time accident. She was as a member of the Drug Referral Program. Anna also owned and managed a cottage on Pickerel Lake with her late husband Tom. She attended and received a Diploma from LaSalle Extension University of Chicago IL for Interior Decorating. She always had time for her family, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Working in the yard and providing a neighborhood sanctuary for animals, always brought her much joy. Donations through the years included the ?New Zoo? as well as many groups to protect and preserve animals. Anna?s travels included visiting Washington DC, Orlando, FL., San Antonio, TX and Las Vegas, NV.
Anna is survived by her children: Sandra (James) Zepnick of Green Bay, Timothy (Joan) Petersen of the Town of Center, Linda (William) Anderson of Appleton, Barbara (Marc) Kluball-Kern of Baraboo; two brothers: Arthur (Peggy) Kalm of Allentown, NJ, Elton (Claudia) Kalm of Marinette; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, five step-children, fifteen step-grandchildren as well as her two former husbands: Donald E. Petersen and Elmer Richardson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Wilz, and childhood friend Catherine Payne.
Friends may call Wednesday September 13, 2006 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2220 E. College Ave, Appleton, WI from 9:00 am until time of services. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at the Church with Pastor Timothy Seabaugh officiating. Burial will be in Community Lutheran Cemetery.
