- Mary A. Sanders, age 89, of Kaukauna, died Friday evening, September 2, 2005, following a long illness. Mary was born March 28, 1916, to the late Fr ank and Catherine (Hendricks) Gertz, in Kaukauna, where she was a reside nt all of her life. She married Earl Sanders on January 14, 1939 and he pr eceded her in death on August 19, 1978. Together they raised four childre n. Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar Society. S he was a very good cook and enjoyed watching and listening to the Brewers.Mary is survived by her son, Kenneth; three daughters, Kay and Mary Ell en Sanders, Kaukauna; Diane (John) Stauffacher, Hilbert; three brothers-in -law, Robert Sanders, Leo Hett, Bud Kuba; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Robe rt (Peggy) DeCoster, Sylvia Nichols, Joyce Sanders and many nieces and nep hews.She was also preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters, Ray, Jo ey, Norbert, Paul, Kathryn, Rose and Alyce; brothers and sisters-in-law, R alph, James, Alvin, Frank, Viola, Marie, Rita and Helen.The funeral liturgy for Mary will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Septemb er 6, 2005, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 West Seventh Street, Kaukaun a, with Father Robert Udulutsch, O.F.M.Cap., officiating. Burial wi ll be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the church on Tu esday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is bei ng established.The family would like to thank Dr. Alan Cherkasky, Dr. Andrea Schimke, t he visiting nurses of Ministry Home Care, the doctors and nursing sta ff of St. Elizabeth Hospital, including Sr. Gerri and Sr. Francine.
