- Griswold, Alice J., OshkoshAge 64, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at Mercy Medical Cent er. On August 2, 1939 she was born in Dundas, WI; the daughter of Arthur a nd Janet (Nytes) Bruecker. She was married to Hobert "Gummy" Griswold on F ebruary 20, 1988 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Alice was empl oyed at Parkview Care Center where she worked as a custodian from Novembe r, 1978 until her retirement in June, 1997. She was a member of St. Peter 's Catholic Church and she enjoyed reading mystery books, collecting San ta Claus's; going out to eat and going for rides with her husband and fami ly.Alice is survived and will be sadly missed by her husband, "Gummy", Oshkos h; daughter, Teena (Scott) Thums, Omro; step-daughter, Kathy (Donald) Joli n, Oshkosh; four step-sons: Jack "Ponch" Griswold, Park Falls, WI; Stev en (Peggy) Griswold, Jeffrey Griswold and David Griswold, all of Oshkos h; grandchildren: Holley and Kenneth Thums, both of Omro; step-grandchildr en: Patti (Scott) Allan, Michael (Diane) Griswold, Tracy (Brian) Bliske, A lan (Julie) Jolin, Donald Jolin, Jr., Melissa (Joe) Berndt, Adam Griswol d, Justin Griswold, Tonya Griswold, Shelly Griswold, Joseph Griswold and E lizabeth Griswold, all of Oshkosh; and 12 step-great-grandchildren. Ali ce is further survived by her sister, Anna Murphy, Appleton; brothers: Jo hn Bruecker, Nichols, WI; Andrew Bruecker, Seymour, WI; and Hugh (Pam) Bru ecker, Clintonville, WI; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ali ce was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Richard Griswold; grand daughter, Amanda Thums; and a step-great-grandson, Brent Jolin.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Octo ber 4, 2003 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 435 High Street, Oshkosh wi th Rev. Fr. Robert Kollath as celebrant. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Mond ay in Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at Fiss & Bills Fun eral Home, 130 Church Street from 4-7 pm. Friday, October 3rd; and 9:00 a. m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday at the church. A memorial has be en established in Alice's name.
