- Pleier, Pauline M.Age 82, lifelong resident of Kimberly, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004 at her ho me after a brief illness. She was born July 22, 1921 in Kimberly, Wi s. to the late Marinus and Nellie (Willems) Van Beek. On July 24, 1943 s he married Ralph Pleier at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Kimber ly and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year. Pauline w as an active member of Holy Name Parish, singing in the New Life Choir, se rving funeral lunches and was involved with many other activities. She w as an avid bowler and also loved to golf. She and her husband Ralph were v olunteers serving meals on wheels.Survivors include her husband, Ralph; her son, Rev. David Pleier, Green Ba y; her sister, Frances Kerkhof, Santa Rosa, Calif.; her brother and sister -in-law, Dick and Gloria Van Beek, Marietta, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Kat ie Van Beek, Kimberly; Salle Van Beek, Kaukauna; many nieces, nephews a nd many friends.Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John, Mart y, Pete and Ben; one sister, Mary Ann; a brother-in-law, Wim Kerkhof; thr ee sisters-in-law, Betty, Kay and Pat Van Beek.Friends may call at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 602 East Kimber ly Ave., Kimberly, Wis. from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Mass of Christi an Burial will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Dav id Pleier, her son, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in Pauline's name.Blaney Funeral Home, Green Bay is assisting the Pleier family.
