- Philipsen, Ann E., Francisc an Care CenterAge 91, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2004. She was born Ja nuary 7, 1913, to the late George and Minnie (Emmons) Kempen, in Catabw a, Wisconsin and had been a Kimberly resident following her marriage to Ge orge Philipsen, May 18, 1937. Ann had been employed as a seamstress f or J. C. Penny and for H. C. Pranges. She enjoyed golf, bowling, and garde ning. Ann was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Mission Ladies of Ho ly Name Church, Kimberly Homemakers and the Kimberly Golden Agers.Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Dorothy Phili psen, Ogallala, Nebraska; Clement and Geraldine Philipsen, Sr., Kimberl y; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Tony Van Krey, Kimberly; Jan et and Richard Meyer, Menasha; 12 grandchildren, Lynn (Thomas) Ehlenfeld t, Jean (Bruce) Hawley, Cindy (Matt) Sosnowski, Dianne (Matt) Young, Ken ( Tamara) Van Krey, Fr. Todd Philipsen, Kellie (Roger) Witcofski, Tim (Juli e) Philipsen, Keith and Keane Meyer, Kay (Casey) Nygaard, Clement (Brend a) Philipsen, Jr., Kevin Philipsen and Allen Philipsen; 17 great grandchil dren; a brother, Edmund (Frieda) Kempen, Kimberly; and a sister-in-law, Ma ry Kempen, Prentice, WI.She was preceded in death by her husband George Philipsen, July 26, 199 9; a son, Allen; a great grandson Joshua Young; sisters, Martha (Donald) V ande Hey, Adeline Kempen; brothers, Ben (Theresa) Kempen and Clarence Kemp en.The funeral liturgy for Ann will be held at 5pm, Tuesday, February 17, 200 4, at HOLY NAME OF JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, with F ather Todd Philipsen, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, officiating. Burial wi ll be in Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 2 pm, Tue sday, until the time of the mass.
