- Hartzheim, Vincent P., Kaukau naAge 82, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday February 17, 2004, at hom e. Vince was born September 3, 1921, to the late Peter and Mary (Luniak) H artzheim in Darboy. He married the former Veronica Kroeger on September 1 0, 1946; she survives. In 1942 he began his service in the coast guar d. He cooked in the galley until his honorable discharge in 1946. After h is time in the service, Vince worked at the Locks Mill. He purchased the D utch Grill in 1948 and operated it until he moved it to a new locati on in 1960 and changed the name to The Grill. Vince and his family ran T he Grill until he closed it in 1981. He was also a licensed broker since 1 954 and an auctioneer. Upon his retiring he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hu nting and delivering the bargain bulletin. He was actively involved in t he VFW and enjoyed his VFW meetings and playing cards with his buddies. Vi nce was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Elks, Lions and Americ an Legion.He is survived by his wife, Veronica Hartzheim; four daughters: Sharon Jan sen and special friend Larry Franzke, and her children, Tracy (John) Urb an and Troy (Carrie) Jansen, Barbara Mathis and her children Michelle (Bo b) Kobussen and Mark (Cami) Mathis, Donna Van Schyndel and her three child ren: Brad (Kristin) Van Schyndel, Ryan Van Schyndel and Kristi Van Schynd el and Vicki (Tom) Driessen and their children: Matt, Nick, and Ben Driess en; seven great grandchildren: Tyler Schmidt and Chloee Urban, Joshua Kobu ssen, Jacob and Derek Mathis and Lauren and Quinn Van Schyndel. He will al so be missed by four sisters: Beatrice Ashauer, Bernice Coenen, Mabel Ko hl and Gertrude Raymaker; two brothers: Marvin (Jenny) Hartzheim and Lest er (Virginia) Hartzheim; four sisters in law: Ruth Meehl, Rosie Mattke a nd Rose Kroeger and Margie Schepp and a brother-in-law, Ernie Kroeger.H is parents; two sons: Allen and Craig Hartzheim; a sister, Agnes Van Rossu m, two brothers: Peter and Larry Hartzheim and numerous brothers and siste rs-in-law preceded him in death.The funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, February 20, at ST. MA RY of the ANNUNCIATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 West Seventh Street Kaukauna w ith Fr. Robert A. Udulutsch, OFM Cap. Officiating. Friends will be receiv ed on Friday at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Full Milita ry Burial Rites will be performed at Church after the service. Burial wi ll take place at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is bei ng established.
