- Mrs. Anna Derfus, 87, of Sherwood, widow of Peter Derfus, died at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was born at Little Chute on Sept. 16, 1887, the daughter of Casper and Jacobina Bruecker Holzschuh. She was married in 1906 at Sacred Heart Church, Sherwood. Mrs. Derfus was a member of Sacred Heart Church , Sherwood, and St. Ann ' s Ladies Sodality. Surviving are five grandchildren; and two brothers, Norbert Holzschuh of Sherwood and Ivo Holzschuh of Route 1, Menasha. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1937 and by a daughter. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Sherwood. The Rev. Kenneth R. Frozena will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Derfus will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

" Stie was born in Little Chute on Sept. 16, 1887, daughter of the late Casper and Jacobina Bruecker Holzschuh* In 1906 she wasr married to Mr. Derfus at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. He died in 1937. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, and its St. Ann's Ladies Sodality. Survivors are five grandchildren; two brothers, Norbert Holzschuh of Sherwood and Ivo of Rt 1, Menasha. A daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, and funeral Mass 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Kenneth R. Frozena, pastor, will be celebrant of Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where a parish vigil will be held at 8 p.m.
