- Ervin J. Grishaber, Appleton Age 76, died early Monday morning, February 19, 2001, at home with his fam ily and dog Rocky by his side after a four-year battle with cancer. Erv w as born February 28, 1924, in Appleton, the son of Joseph D. and Anna (Ren n) Grishaber. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Chicago Art Scho ol after serving in the Army Air Force during World War II. On Septemb er 1, 1962, he married Lorraine Schaefer at St. Bernadette Catholic Chur ch in Appleton, and the couple enjoyed 38 years together. Erv was employ ed for 30 years at Earl Litho-Printing, retiring in 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; two daughters, Christine Grishabe r, Appleton; Margaret Grishaber, Marshfield; a sister, Inez Stark, Darbo y; two brothers, Joe and Norbert Grishaber, Appleton; a brother-in-law, No rbert (Joan) Schaefer, Darboy. Further survived by many loving nieces a nd nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers, Matt, Edward, and Louis G rishaber; five sisters-in-law, Othy, Meryl, Louise, Olive and Margaret Gri shaber; a brother-in-law, Walter Stark.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 21, at St. Bernadette Catholic Chu rch, 2331 E. Lourdes Drive, Appleton, from 4 p.m. until the time of servic e. Funeral Mass 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Harry Berrym an officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleto n. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family wishes to thank all of our friends and relatives for their pray ers and support during Erv's illness. Also, a special thanks to Theda Ca re Hospice, whose care and concern allowed Erv to remain in the comfo rt of his home.
