- Robert Van Zeeland Cleaves St. Old Orchard Beach, Maine Age 63, died Saturday, January 20, at Southern Maine Medical Center. He w as born in Appleton, Wisconsin, on November 22, 1937, a son of Henry and M argaret Biese Van Zeeland and was educated in Kimberly, Wisconsin, school s. He graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
He married Janet Griffin 42 years ago in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Mr. Van Zeeland had been employed as a Human Resource Manager for Nabis co Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1980. Since his retirement, he had done h ome restoration work. He had come to this area in 1994.
Mr. Van Zeeland was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Bever ly, Massachusetts, and St. Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
Surviving are his wife, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; four daughters, Mr s. Andre (Kim) Naniche, London, England; Lynne Schuh, Pasadena, Marylan d; Mrs. Thomas (Margaret) Egan, Medford, Maryland; Kathleen Van Zeeland, N ew York, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Reider, Kimberly; and Mrs. Dol ores Vandenberg, Mesa, Arizona; five grandchildren, many nieces and nephew s.
There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrat ed at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 25, at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Chur ch in Beverly, Massachusetts. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 4 80 Elm St., Biddeford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his me mory to "Make A Wish Foundation of America," 3550 North Central Ave., Sui te 300, Phoenix, Arizona 85012.
