- Patterson, Grover "Pat"Grover "Pat" Patterson, Kaukauna, age 84, died peacefully Sunday, July 1 1, 2004 with his family by his side. He was born December 6, 1919 in De Pe re, WI son of late Joseph and Rith (Grover) Patterson. On October 4, 19 41 Pat married the former Dolores "Sis" Nytes at St. Mary Catholic Churc h, Kaukauna. On November 25, 1942 Pat was called to serve in World W ar II in the 14th Armored Division in the European Theatre. In 1945, Pat r eturned home to his sales position at Thilmany Pulp and Paper. He retir ed in 1981 after 41 years of service. Pat was an active member of St. Aloy sius Catholic Church in Kaukauna, where he served as an usher since 196 4. Pat was a lifetime member of the Electric City VFW Post 3319, was a mem ber of the Knights of Columbus, the Thilmany Quarter Century Club and t he Fox Valley Golf Course.Survivors include his wife of almost 63 years, Dolores, their children; K ay (Jerry) Weyenberg, Karen (John) Buskager all of Kaukauna, Lynne (Dan) P atterson-Dozer, La Quinta, Calif., David (Geriann) Patterson, Powell, Ohi o, Patrick (Diane) Patterson, Oshkosh, Mary Patterson-Smith, Appleto n; 17 grandchildren; Chad (Barb) Weyenberg, Shawn (Phil) Eiting, Jenna (Ph il) Hammen, Kathy Hartzheim, Ann (Stuart) Clish, Steve and Kevin Buskage r, Gina, David Jr., Lisa and Michael Patterson, Josh (Kara) Patterson, Dav id Patterson, Holly Avery, Hannclore, Haelena and Galen Patterson-Smit h; 6 great-grandchildren; Brittany, Kimberly and Meghan Clish, Olivia an G ina Hartzheim and Bowen Avery; 2 sisters; Rita Wandell, California and Lo is Vanden Heuvel, Kaukauna.Pat was preceded in death by a son Tim Patterson in 1991 and 2 brother-in- laws; John Wandell and Richard Vanden Heuvel.uneral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at St. Aloysius Catholic Chu rch, Kaukauna with the Fr. David Schmidt officiating. Complete military ri tes will be conducted by VFW Post 3319 immediately following the servi ce at church. Friends may call directly at the church from 3 p.m. Friday u ntil the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been est ablished in his name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assis ting the family.
