- SWITCHMAN RUN DOWN BY AUTOMOBILE
Dudley Cuthbert,* a. switchman employed in the yards of the North western, sustained, serious injury to his leg and knee last night, when he was struck by an automobile on Franklin street as he stepped from the engine of a train on which he was switching. Cuthbert had stepped from the engine between Fourteenth and Fifteenth streets to signal the engineer and just as he stepped down, a. rapidly driven car whizzed by, the running board striking Cuthbert. and throwing him to the pavement. His leg was badly lacerated and the knee joint, was injured so that it was impossible for him to report for work today Fellow trainmen secured the number of the car when the driver failed to stop. Arrest, may follow.

FORMER APPLETON MAN IS HURT AT MANITOWOC
Dudley Cuthbert brother of Mrs. T. R. Ryan and Miss Catherine Cuthbert of Appleton, claims the hard luck title of Manitowoc following injuries suffered Thursday night when he fell from a box car and sprained both his ankles. Mr. Cuthbert who is a switchman, was walking along the top of the cars and did not notice that the cars had been disconnected. Recently he was struck by a taxicab and quite seriously injured and only a few weeks ago Mrs. Cuthbert fell several feet when a railing broke down while she was leaning against it. Both have suffered other minor injuries in the last few months.

- See Image CUTHBERT. Dudley E. - Aged 52, died Saturday night at Green Bay hospital, after six weeks illness. Born in Appleton, deceased came to Manitowoc in later life to be employed at Goods Co. Survived by widow, who was Miss Alma Zipperer of Appleton, a sister and brother. Member of K, of C. and Catholic Foresters. Funeral services Wednesday at 8:30 a. m. fro 'home, 1234 South 16th street and at 9 a. m. from St. Boniface church. Interment Calvary. Body now at home.

- Miss Alma Zipperer Weds Manitowoc Man
Miss Alma Zipperer, 117 E. Lawrence st, daughter of Mrs. Pamanda Zipperer, shland, and Dudley Cuthbert, Manitowoc, were married at a high Mass at 6:30 Thursday morning at St. Mary church. The Rev. J. E. Meagher performed the ceremony, and attendants were Miss Katherine Conway. and Ben Carey, cousins of Mr. Cuthbert. A wedding dinner was served to 20 guests at Conway hotel. After a short trip, Mr. and.Mrs. Cuthbert will make their home at 1234 S. Sixteenth-st, Manitowoc. The bride has been employed in the trafficdepartment of the Appleton office of the Wisconsin Telephone company.
