Orville N. Spaulding, passed away at his home on Saturday, Sept. 4, 200 4. He was born in the Town of Maine, Wis., May 17, 1925, son of the late A lvy and Elizabeth (Ness) Spaulding. Orville married his high school sweeth eart, Margaret Kersten, on June 6, 1944. He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. Orville worked for 35 years for Foreway Expre ss until retiring in 1990.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Margaret; a son, Thomas Sp aulding, Appleton; two grandchildren, Jesse Spaulding, Appleton; Shelley ( Jody) Wilson, Marion, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Benjamin Wi lson. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Mildred Spaulding and sev eral nieces and nephews.
Orville was preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence, Arnold, Clayto n, Milford and Percy Spaulding; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Wilson.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at 11 a. m. at the Star of Hope Chapel, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Relatives a nd friends may call at the chapel on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the ti me of services.
