- JoAnn Peeters, 88, Neenah, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, following a short illness surrounded by her family at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born Nov. 17, 1921, in Kimberly, daughter of George and Hattie (VanGrinsven) Vanden Heuvel. JoAnn married Gerald Peeters, March 21, 1946, at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly. She was employed in the Cafeteria at St. Margaret Mary School for several years and later at Zwickers Knitting Mill. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and a former member of the Catholic Daughters and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Mrs. Peeters is survived by her children, Tim (Claire) Peeters, Neenah; Patti (Rich) Chronquist, Marshfield; Becky (John) Arpin, Neenah; Jayne (Hal Moorehead) Peeters, Big Horn, Wyoming; Steve (Gretchen) Peeters, Orlando, Florida; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three sisters and a brother, Ellen Gloudemans, Kaukauna; Carolyn Simon, Appleton; Agnes (Peter) Peeters, Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Norbert (Bernice) Vanden Heuvel, Madison; several in-laws, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. JoAnn was also preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at St. Margaret Mary Church, 620 Division Street, Neenah, with Fr. Michael L. Ingold officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
