Funeral, services were conducted at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon for Edward F. Kirtchen, a former resident of Sheboygan and Sheboygan Falls, who passed away suddenly early Sunday morning in Milwaukee where he resided at 5831 N. Wells street. The rites were held at the Wendler Funeral home in Milwaukee, and were under the auspices of Hugh I. McGrath Camp No. 3, United Spanish War Veterans. Interment was in Holy Cross cemetery. Mr. Kirtchen, aged 66 years, will be remembered as a former manager of the Majestic theatre. He left that position about 26 years ago, and assumed the management of the Sheboygan Falls theatre. Through his theatrical connections he became well known in both cities. After several years in Sheboygan Falls, the family moved to Milwaukee where Mr. Kirtchen was connected with the Milwaukee Journal until his retirement on July 1. Survivors are his wife, the former Anne Rohan, two sons, Frederick Kirtchen, Rawlins, Wyo., and John Kirtchen, Milwaukee, two daughters, Miss Johanette Kirtchen, and Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Flynn, Milwaukee; eight grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Herman Kolb, Sheboygan Falls. Those attending the funeral from this vicinity were Mr. and Mrs. Brwin Truttschel, their son, William, recently discharged from the U. S. marines, Mrs. Charles Casady, Sheboygan, Mrs. Dighton Granger and daughters, the Misses Gelane and Mildred, Mr. and Mrs. Reno Widder, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kolb and Mr. and Mrs, Alex Kolb, Sheboygan.
