  Mathias Weber, 73, 130 Tayl or St. Kaukauna, died at his home 10:00 Monday evening after an illne ss of three weeks. Born April 19th, 1871, in Woodville, Wisconsin he enga ged in the blacksmith trade and in 1903 opened a blacksmith shop in Kaukau na which he operated until his death. He was a past chief ranger of the C atholic Order of Foresters, a member of the Holy Name Society and of Ho ly Cross Church in Kaukauna. Survivors are the widow; three daughters, Mr s. Carl Specht, of Milwaukee and Mrs. Joseph West and Mrs. Sylvester VanSc hindel of Appleton; five sons, Louis, of Appleton; Michael, of Kaukauna a nd Staff Sergeant Edward, Sergeant Charles and Sergeant Herbert, all servi ng in the European area; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. T he funeral Mass will be read at 9:00 Wednesday morning with the Rev. Peter Grossneck officiating. Burial services will be held at 10:00 Thursd ay morning with burial in Holy Cross cemetery.
