- Helen A. Kilgas, Kaukauna, age 75, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 20 05 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Helen was born September 8, 192 9, the daughter of the late Forrest and Martha (Berens) Banning. On Octob er 20, 1951, she married Dale Kilgas at Holy Cross Church in Kaukaun a; he survives. Over the years, Helen worked at various jobs, including t he Kaukauna Library and as a personal caregiver in the area. Many will al so remember Helen as a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul and at St. Paul Ho me. Helen was an avid reader and enjoyed frequent bus trips to the casi no with friends. She also kept a beautiful flower and vegetable garden. S he thought the world of her grandchildren, and enjoyed time spent with th em reading and singing. Helen was a very generous person who enjoyed peop le and loved life.Helen is survived by her husband, Dale Kilgas of Kaukauna; a son, Jeff Kil gas of Kaukauna and his children: Leah (Kevin) Micke, Theresa Kilgas, h er son Bryce and her fiance Corey Jansen, Sam Kilgas, and Charlie Kilga s; a son: Eric Kilgas of Kaukauna and his children Zachary and Matthew Kil gas; a son: Kurt Kilgas of Kaukauna; a son: Andy (Wendy) Kilgas of Omro a nd their children Moira, Isaiah, Rachel, Eli, and Tabitha Kilgas; a daught er: Lynn (Ed) Voet of Kaukauna and their children Sarah, Amy, David, and C aroline Voet; a son: Adam (Dana) Kilgas of Little Chute and their sons Ada m, Noah, Wyatt Kilgas; a daughter-in-law: Cindy Kilgas of Chilton and h er children Joshua, Justin, and Chelsea Kilgas. Helen is also surviv ed by two sisters: Gretchen Fitzpatrick of Appleton and Mary (Bob) Fly nn of Kaukauna; two brothers-in-law: David (Frannie) Kilgas of Kaukauna a nd Wayne Rewey of California; sisters-in-law: Joan (Francis) Gerow of Kauk auna, Rita (Dave) Gatz of Kaukauna, and Margaret "Mugs" Kilgas of Kaukauna .Helen was preceded in death by her parents, by Dale's parents Norbert a nd Agnes (Gillen) Kilgas, a son John Kilgas in 1996, brothers-in-law: Ed F itzpatrick and Don Kilgas; and a sister-in-law: Mary Ellen Rewey.The funeral liturgy for Helen will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 at S T. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. Seventh Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Robe rt Udulutsch, OFM Cap. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemete ry.
