- Hutjens, Marie A.Marie A. Hutjens, 91, town of Rockland, passed away peacefully on Oc t. 4, 2006, at a local nursing home. The daughter of the late Theodore a nd Anna (Cornelissen) Kocken was born on Sept. 18, 1915, in the town of La wrence. She married Edward Hutjens on May 12, 1943, at St. Boniface Cathol ic Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1995. They enjoy ed more than 52 years together. Marie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Co mmunity in De Pere and a member of the Christian Ladies Society. She enjoy ed baking, canning, sewing, flower gardening and playing cards.Marie is survived by three sons and three daughters and their spouses, Fra nk and Janice Hutjens, Erv and Marge Hutjens, Joan and Jerry Beining, R on and Patty Hutjens, Josephine (Josie) Hutjens, and Diana Hutjens and h er fiance, Lon Splittgerber; 18 grandchildren, Craig and (Terry) Hutjen s, Jennifer and (Keith) Waloway, Jessica Hutjens, Sarah and (Steve) Harke y, Marty and (Connie) Hutjens, Emily and (Dan) Hooyman, Mary Jo Hutjens, M eg and (Dave) Lasee, Amy, Brenda, Cathy (Aaron), Doug and Eric Beining, Sa m, Anna, Noah and Tessa Hutjens, Jamie and (Michelle) Hutjens; 10 great-gr andchildren, Auburn, Grace, Andrew, Shayne, Christopher, Sean, Sabrina, Ta nner, Trevor, and Angela. She is also survived by one brother, Edward Kock en; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Chris (Jenny Blodgett) Kocken; and by Ed 's family, Mary Becker, Margaret and Myron Lotto, Joe and Alice Hutjens, S ister Josephine, Germaine Hutjens; and by many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and infant son; her moth er and father, Anna and Theodore Kocken; three brothers and two sisters-in -law, Chris Kocken, Lorance and Irene (Eckardt) Kocken, Henry Kocken and M rs. Edward (Margaret Lenss) Kocken; three sisters and three brother-in law s, Regina and Sylvester Barrett, Josephine and John Barrett, and Rita a nd Albert Wertel.Family and friends may call Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, from 9 a.m. until the ho ur of Mass at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Spo rtsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrat ed 11 a.m. Monday at church, with the Rev. John H. Harper and Fr. David Du ffeck concelebrating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.
