  JOHN JULY Born in Outagamie county. He lived there 24 years, when he com menced rafting on the Wisconsin River. He came to Colby about 1880, whe re he engaged in the liquor business. He was a member of the firm of Ju ly & Wolf, accumulating a large amount of property while a resident in t he county. John July made periodical trips to Green Bay, so was often cal led Green Bay Advocate and Green Bay Huntz. July died of a heart atta ck in the Commercial Hotel where he had lived after retirement. He nev er married.
