- Geurts, John Mark"Mark", age 89, of Neenah, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 200 5, at Parkview Health Center, in Oshkosh. Mark was born February 8, 191 6, in Rapids County, South Dakota, the son of the late George and Nellie ( Vissers) Geurts. He married Mary Alice Crotty on August 30, 1945, in Wrigh tstown. He had been employed at Remmick Transfer for 32 years, retiri ng in 1976. Mark served in the U.S. Army for five years, 2nd Armor Divisio n.He was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Mark enjoyed snowmobiling, cr afts, and flower gardens.Mark is survived by his wife Mary Alice; his children: Donald (Mary) Geurt s, Waupaca; Mark Geurts (special friend, Barbara), Waupaca; Kathleen (Roge r) Polifka, Crivitz; Ann Nichols, Town of Menasha; Pat Geurts, Neenah; a nd Geri (Scott) Yingling, Neenah. He is also survived by ten grandchildre n: Tracy, Brian, Todd, Jon, Heather (Charles), Joe, Trent, Ken, Sara and M elissa; a brother, George (Mary Ann) Geurts, Menasha; his sisters: Marie B uzanowski, Menasha; Eileen Foth, Menasha; and Ursula (Fred) Rutten, Weyauw ega.Mark was preceded in death by two sisters, Honorat and Theresa; and a brot her, Florent; also his brothers-in-law: Norbert, Joseph and Wilbur.Private family services will be held on Monday. Interment will be in St. J ohn Cemetery.
