Canavan Succumbs at 84 Stephensville Man Was Resident of County Over 83 Years A resident of Outagamie county for more than 83 years. John G. Canavan, 84, Stephcnsville. died at his home at 9:30 last evening after a short illness. He was born in Boston, Mass, May 9. 1855, and his family moved to the town of Ellington 3 months later. Mr. Canavan lived on the farm in the town of Ellington until 1922 when he moved to Stephensville. He was a brother of Dr. James V. Canavan. former mayor of Anpleton who died in 1914. His wife, Jane Heidemann, whom he married in 1899, died in 1924. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. H. J. Van Straten, Stephensville. and a son, Patrick J. Canavan, Appleton. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 Saturday morning at St. Patrick church, Stephensville. and burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body can be viewed at the residence.
