  Edward John Hoelzel, Neenah, age 79, died peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2006. Ed was born on November 12, 1926, in Stockbridge, WI, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Giesen) Hoelzel. He married Julia Weiler on February 5, 1956, in Hollandtown, WI. He is survived by his wife Julia, his three children: Jean (Mark) Biddle, Greenville; Tim (Lynn) Hoelzel, Neenah; Nancy (Jeff) Harding, Neenah; six grandchildren: Derek Johnson, Greenville; Jamie (Bob) Kruger, Neenah; Nathan Hoelzel, Eagle River; Troy Hoelzel, Neenah; Brooke and Hayley Harding, Neenah; three great-grandchildren: Lexi Jean and Natalie Kruger and Ethan Johnson; three brothers: Reuben (Betty) Hoelzel, Menasha; Alvin (Eleanor) Hoelzel, Boulder Junction; Francis (Cecelia) Hoelzel, Kaukauna; a sister, Rosemary (Gilbert) Ortleib, Stockbridge; three sisters-in-law: Beatty Hoelzel, Stockbridge, Margaret Thiel, Hilbert, and Lucy (John) Pohl, Cedarburg. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Ed was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Gilbert Hoelzel and by a sister, Alice Colovich. The funeral services for Ed will be private. Please keep us in your prayers. Dad, we can now rest peacefully knowing that you, our father the carpenter, are resting peacefully in the hands of your Father, the Carpenter, in Heaven. Lord, support us all the day long, until shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over, and our work is done.
