  Miss Nell C. Wittlin 930 W. Packard St. Age 83, passed away Thursday at 12:45 a.m. following a brief illness. She was born September 4, 1887 in the town of Center and had been a resident of Appleton since 1918. She was employed at the Fox River Paper Mill for over 37 years retiring in 1951. Miss Wittlin was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. The Third Order of St. Francis and the Catholic Knights. Survivors include three sisters, Sister Myra C.S.A., Fond du Lac; Mrs. Morris (Jane) Hardy, Kaukauna; Mrs. John (Margaret) Casey, New London; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. James Wittlin, Appleton; Mrs. John Wittlin, Menominee Falls; 38 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. James Putman officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Stephensville. Friends may call at the Ellenbecker - Andersen Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Friday. The Scripture Service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday. Appleton Post Crescent Thur., Oct. 1, 1970 pg. D-4
