- Celia M. Peters, 79, Wisconsin Rapids, a Stevens Point native, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Family Heritage Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids, where she resided the past 12 years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Philips Catholic Church in Rudolph, with the Rev. Chester Osowski officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Catholic Cemetery in Rudolph.
Visitation will be at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the services. A wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peters was born June 14, 1924, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late John and Helen (Kazaniecki) Slagowski.
She was married to Cyril Peters on Sept. 27, 1947, in Stevens Point. He died Feb. 25, 1988.
She was a homemaker and also formerly worked as a nurses aide at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
She was a member of St. Philips Catholic Church and a former member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Rudolph American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla (Robert) Masters, Fort Thomas, Ky., and Cheryl (Chester) Schultz, Wisconsin Rapids; two sons, Charles (Kathryn), Wisconsin Rapids, and Chris (Karla), Wisconsin Rapids; one sister, Dorothy (Gene) Kobey, Ocala, Fla.; and one brother, Edward Slagowski, Stevens Point; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and John; and one grandson.
