  Biography	Aft 1953
  John Peter Hein (sometimes referred to as "J.P."), the oldest of William Hein's second family, was born at the old homestead in the Town of Eau Pleine, near Stratford, Wisconsin. On June 1, 1920 he married Martha Powers, and lived for the next ten or eleven years in Unity, Wisconsin where he was engaged for the most part in road building. Here five of their seven children were born --AIice, Harold, Mildred, Margaret and Mary. In 1931, the family moved to the old homestead while the estate was being settled following Grandma Hein's death. After living a year here, and another year at Dill Creek near Unity, where John, Jr. was born, the family moved to Ringle, Wisconsin in Marathon County, near Wausau. Lois, the youngest of the seven, was born in Ringle. Here they remained until 1943 or 1944 when they moved to Schofield, Wisconsin, and from there to BeIIevue, Nebraska in 1947. Only two of the children moved to Nebraska at this time - Harold and Lois. Alice had already entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet (Now Sister John Chrysostom, and later Sister Alice), and was teaching on the Menomonie Indian Reservation near Shawano, Wisconsin. Mildred (Mrs. Ben Miller) was married, and was living on their farm near Hatley, Wisconsin. John, Jr. made his home with the Millers until he joined the service, and later located in the Milwaukee area where he married Delores Wollinger. Margaret (Mrs. R.D. Neitzke) and Mary (Mrs. Ragen) lived in Chicago for a while, but later also settled in the BeIIevue and Omaha area. Harold meanwhile married Florence CockriII, and Lois married Edward Heckmann, both continuing to live in Bellevue. After working six years in construction in Bellevue, John, Sr. died on May 1, 1953, and twenty-one years later, his wife Martha passed away on October 27, 1974. Today, (1981) the John Hein family number forty-three to the fourth generation.
