- Bevoliver@rocketmail. Hi, Jay--Still little news on Theresa. I checked t he city directories for 1898-1927 for Louis and for any Fellers. Louis a nd Theresa first appear during those dates in the 1904-05 directory. Lou is is listed as a farmer with a residence in West Sioux Falls (a separa te town in those days). That is the only mention ever made of Theresa, a nd no children are ever mentioned (though that was the norm in those days) .In the 1912, Louis E. Smith is listed in Real Estate at 269-270 Boyce-Gre eley Bldg with a residenct 4 mi w of city.In 1916, he is listed as the Louis E. Smith Realty Co. with L. E. Smith a nd Nicholas Stoffels). No mention is made of his residence or famil y. He remains thus in 1917. In 1918, he either disappears completely or h is status has changed drastically, for the only LouisSmith listed is an employee of Bray Liver Barn and Mr. smith boards at 4 25 Nesmith Ave. in Sioux Falls. In 1927, a Louis Smith is listed as a lands cape gardner with a residence in town at 1006 E. 10th St.No Fellers are li sted in any of the sporadic 1898-1927 city directories.I did photocopy Louis E. Smith's obituary from the Sioux Falls Argus Lead er if you would like me to snail mail it to you. It lists his minister, o rganist, vocalist and pallbearers which could help you. In addition, it g ives the full name of his funeral home, and that business is still in busi ness in Sioux Falls...as is the cemetery. I'll give them a call tomorr ow to see if they have more information on Louis which might lead you to T heresa.
