- Brien, Idoleta "Squeak"
Idoleta "Squeak" O'Brien, 81, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born on November 3, 1925, in Hickory Corners, Wisconsin to the late Robert and Eva (Kessler) Davis. She graduated from Oconto Falls High School, Class of 1944. Squeak married John J. O'Brien on July 27, 1946. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. Family and friends enjoyed Squeak's numerous apples pies, monster cookies, and caramel corn.
Survivors are her two sons and daughters-in-law: Sid and Connie O'Brien, De Pere; Tom and Betty O'Brien, Appleton; grandchildren: Erin Cameron and her husband Jerry; Kelly O'Brien and his wife Stephanie; Michael O'Brien; Kerry O'Brien and her husband Nels Garthus; four great-granddaughters: Jade, Alia, and Dana Cameron, and Sydney Garthus; one sister, Lue and her husband Gene Sturdevant; one brother, Merrill Davis and his wife Becky; nieces and nephews; her longtime friend, Elsie Hussin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John J. O'Brien; and a son, John O'Brien, Jr.
Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere on Tuesday, December 19, 2006, from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. with her brother Merrill Davis officiating. Interment at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
