- Vandenberg, Marcella "Sally"Marcella "Sally" Vandenberg, age 84, of Larsen, Wisconsin, died Thursday m orning September 16, 2004 at ManorCare Health Services in Appleton, Wiscon sin following a brief battle with cancer. She was born on October 9, 19 19 in Appleton to the late Edwin and Lydia (Erdman) Petznick. Sally gradua ted from Appleton Senior High School in 1937. She married Arthur Vandenbe rg in March of 1947. They made their home in Menasha and in 1953 mov ed to the Town of Winchester where they farmed. Sally's husband Arthur pre ceded her in death in January of 1972.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Winneconne.Sally is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Dennis Frerk s, of Winneconne; four sons and daughters-in-law: Tim and Nancy Vandenber g, and Jeffery and Kathleen Vandenberg, all of Neenah; Steve and Joyce Van denberg, of Larsen; Daniel and Zinnia Vandenberg, of Miriam, Kansas; one b rother and sister-in-law, Newell and Marion Petznick, of Menasha; nine gra ndchildren; four great-granddaughters; three sisters and one brother-in-la w: Lila Dorschner, of Menasha; Ruth Bevers, of Little Chute; and Eldine a nd Elmer Schultz, of Salem, South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.Along with her parents and husband, Sally was preceded in death by three g randchildren.A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 24, 2004 at 11 a.m. at S t. Mary Catholic Church, Winneconne with Rev. Leroy Smet officiating. Inte rment to follow in the Winneconne Cemetery. Family and friends may ca ll at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services. Muel ler Funeral Home, Winneconne, is assisting the family with arrangements.
