  MRS. MARY JANE BEACH Mrs. Mary Jane. Beach, 85, died Friday night at the home of her son, George H. Packard, 537 N. Union-st. Brnm in New York on Dec. 2, 1845, Mary Jane Prouty moved to Plover with her parents in 1856. She was married to Charles T. Packard at Plover in 1865, and after his death she was married to James Beach, in 1885. They moved to Appleton in 1897, and since Mr. Beech's death in 1900 Mrs. Beach had lived with her son. Mrs. Beach had teen a member of the Women's Relief corps of the Grand Army of the Republic for 40 years, and at one time was president for three years, serving a, longer consecutive term as head of the organization than any other member. She also was a state officer of the Relief corps. She was deaconess emeritus of the Congregational church board at the time of her death. Survivors are the one son, Mr. Packard, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral home from Saturday evening until time of the service at 1:45 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Dr. H. S. Peabody will conduct the service, and Immediately after the cortege will leave for Plover, where burial will take place. Page Four, APPLETON POST-CRESCENT Saturday Evening, May 14,1932
