2003 Email from sjw429@webtv.net ; Hello Jay, I don't know a whole lot abo ut Dan Clune specifically. I have been doing some research on the Clune fa mily. I'm a descendent of John Clune Born !818, his youngest child Mary, b orn in wrightstown 1875, wasmy greatgrandmother. He married Margaret McCormick, 1861 or 62. That may h ave been a 2nd Marriage. He died in the Greenbay poorhouse 1905 at 89 or s o. I think your Daniel Clune may have been a younger brother. I have an o ld Picture of an establishment called Dan Clune's saloon. Date 1906. I th ink John and Dan's Mother was Mary. Born in 1788. I think she is in the 18 60 census for Brown County, age 72. She died in 1863. If you have any in fo on these elder Clunes, or if you believe my info is incorrect. Let me k now. What year was Dan Clune born? Mary and the elder John, had other ch ildren as well. Anne 1825. Denns 1828. I found this little info on the Cl unes and the rest of the Irish families that settled Wrightstown. I'll fo rward that to you.
