    Athur Peter "Art" Santkuyl, 85, Little Chute, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, January 14, 2011. He was born in Kimberly, on July 27, 1925, to Leo and Marie (Van Laarhoven) Santkuyl. On June 18, 1949, he married his wife of 61 years, Joan Young.
    Art served as a Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force in World War II. He was responsible for the war room in Germany, along with Bob Malmstrom. They received a letter of commendation for developing a room size map to manage troop locations throughout the European war zone.
    When he returned, he graduated from Fox Valley Technical College, School of Business. He worked in Madison for the Dept. of Statistics, then joined Kimberly Bank, where he worked for 15 years before founding Art Santkuyl Insurance and Real Estate Agency.
    He was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, Kimberly Businessmen's Association, Knights of Columbus and the Kimberly American Legion Post #60. Art will be remembered for tirelessly and enthusiastically volunteering his services managing the finances, organizing, planning and implementing the church, Knights of Columbus and Legion picnics for three consecutive years. He was also involved in organizing the Kimberly bi-centennial celebration and parade in 1960.
    He enjoyed bowling, and sponsored a team for the Businessmen's Bowling League at Jerry's Lanes in Kimberly, during which he bowled a perfect 300 game in the same year his team won the championship. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending summers at Bear Lake cottage with his family and friends, where all were welcome. At the age of 70, Art started a Polka band known as "Grandpa and the Kids with their Happy Notes." He enjoyed people and was known as the life of the party.
    Art is survived by his wife, Joan; six children, Barbara Santkuyl, Appleton; Vicki (Ray) Harrington, Rockford, Ill.; Cathy Broan, Green Bay; Michael (Dory) Santkuyl, Neenah; Mark Santkuyl, Neenah; and Rick (Mary Jo) Santkuyl, Duluth, Minn.; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Christine (Robert) Biechler and Dolores (Bill) Caraker; and sisters-in-law, Jean Santkuyl, Pat Santkuyl and Marie Michalkiewicz.
    Art was preceded in death by his parents; his wife's parents; a grandson, Christopher Santkuyl; brothers, Joseph Santkuyl and Norbert "Nubs" Santkuyl; and by his wife's brothers and sisters.
    Funeral Services are Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, Kimberly Campus, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly. Family and friends will be received at the church beginning at 2:30 p.m. with a celebration of Mass at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served following Mass.
    The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Orlando Taleon, the staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice and Cherry Meadows Hospice, and volunteer, Jim Hemmen, for their wonderful care of Art and his family. We also extend our thanks to all of the people in the Heart of the Valley for their support and friendship extended to Art throughout his career.

    Darboy, Wisconsin - Barbara Santkuyl, age 67, recently passed away on June 26, 2018 at her home in Darboy, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Appleton, WI on September 15, 1950 to Arthur and Joan (Young) Santkuyl. After graduating from Kimberly High School, Barb worked at Kimberly Clark thru retirement. She enjoyed working with her loving friends for twelve years at St. Pat's Christian Bookstore and Festival Foods (Kimberly).
    Barb lived a life inspired by her faith and compassion for others. She volunteered at homeless shelters, Red Cross locally and in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Her devoted faith and the desire to share with others was evident in her work at St Pat's Christian Book Store and teaching catechism classes at Holy Spirit. Barb also expressed her faith by participating as a merchant actress in the annual Northeast Wisconsin Passion Play for numerous years. After achieving Master Gardener Certification, she created a bird sanctuary, including over a hundred hosta varieties. Her garden was a refuge for wildlife and spiritual healing. Barb adopted all of her dogs thru animal rescue.
    Barb is survived by her sons, Thomas (Summer) Van Mun, Greg Van Mun and Alan (Rachel) Van Mun; her mother, Joan Santkuyl; siblings, Vicki (Ray) Harrington, Cathy Broan, Mike (Dory) Santkuyl and Rick (Mary Jo) Santkuyl; grandchildren, Darian Van Mun, Autumn Bodoh, Greysen and Aeralyn Van Mun, Cahyse, Skylin and Keiligh McFadden, Tanner and Bree Van Mun; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
    Barb was preceded in death by her father Arthur Peter Santkuyl and brother Mark Santkuyl.
    A funeral mass for Barb will be celebrated at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church- Darboy Site, W5831 Highway KK, Darboy. Friends may visit at the church from 2:30 PM until the time of mass. Inurnment will be in Holy Name Catholic Cemetery, Kimberly.

    Mark Edward Santkuyl, age 55, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on June 2, 2015 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, WI. He was born in Appleton, WI on May 25, 1960 to Art and Joan (Young) Santkuyl of Kimberly, WI. In 1985, Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside in Kenosha, WI. He was an innovative design engineer, and specialized in computer programming and machine design. Mark had a passion for computer technology, sailing and his dogs. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Mark was an avid nature enthusiast and volunteered with Wild Ones, Neenah, WI.
    He is survived by his mother, Joan Santkuyl; sisters: Barbara Santkuyl, Vicki (Ray) Harrington, and Cathy Broan; brothers: Michael (Dory Knight) Santkuyl and Richard (Mary Jo Jansen) Santkuyl; and thirteen nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Santkuyl; brother-in-law, Jim Broan; and nephew, Christopher Santkuyl.
    Private funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial at Wild Ones, a voice for the natural landscaping movement in Neenah, WI.
