Askeaton is often referred to in many newspapers in the 1800's as "East Holland" and Holland - town was "West Holland" And the same references also apply to the churches; i.e. if a mention were made that a person was buried at "East Holland" it usually meant they were buried at St. Patrick's in Askeaton.
A small bit of info about Askeaton, Wisconsin starts here with an extract from "The Old Sod to the New" (The rest of that site is about Askeaton in Ireland and other places)

There is a group researching Civil War Vets of Monroe County - from the area, came from another area and buried in Monroe county. Plans are to publish a book mid-to-late 2005. I understand they have over 2000 names already. Working toward finding information. The idea is to have a short bio and a picture if possible.
If you can help in any way, please contact Carolyn at email chend at (@) centurytel.net
(I purposely list email addresses this way on my web site so that they aren't found by the spam email collectors.)
Also, Terry Zielke is spear heading a project to publish a book on the early pioneers of St. Mary's Ridge. You can contact her at email tzielke at (@) charter.net

Outagamie County Official web page
Outagamie county has a new County mapping service available. The internet site is available to the public on the County website (www.co.outagamie.wi.us). To view the application go to the site then click "Maps", then click "Outagamie County GIS Maps" then click on Public. There are a number of tools to the left of the maps. These tools help navigate around on the map or query the map for data.
Putting the cursor over the tool will give the name of the tool. clicking the "Help" button (above the legend), gives a description of the tools and their use.
For example, the "Zoom In" tool allows you to zoom into one area of the map. As you zoom in, you will see more information such as County highways, local roads, surface water, aerial photos, parcel lines and other features. You also can add or delete features by clicking on the boxes in the legend to the right of the map. Remember that you have to be zoomed in to see some of the features.
There are also several search methods to allow you to identify and locate streets or parcels. For example, to find a street address, click on the Address Search button (above the legend) and type in a street address. To
find a particular property, click on the Parcel Search button (above the map). Then fill in the name, or address, or parcel number.
Zoning department plans on adding additional layers of information to this application in the future.
